Nebuliser Tubing
Tubing connects the nebuliser pump to the medication bowl. It comes in varying lengths and is made from a variety of materials.
You need to replace nebuliser tubing regularly (usually yearly) to ensure that it remains clean and hasn’t deteriorated which can lead to cracks in the tubing. If your tubing becomes wet from washing or condensation, it can become mouldy and encourage the growth of bacteria.
Tips for caring for nebuliser tubing • Tubing should never be rinsed or washed. • If moisture accumulates in the end of the tubing, disconnect it from the bowl and attaché it to the nebuliser pump and run the pump. If moisture remains, replace the tubing.
