Asthma Child and Adolescent Program
As part of the Australian Government’s national Asthma Management Program the Asthma Foundations of Australia have been funded to deliver a new program to support Australian school students with asthma and linked chronic respiratory conditions.
The Asthma Child and Adolescent Program will provide information and training for school and preschool staff to learn about asthma management and how to respond in an emergency. This program will also provide information for parents and carers and support adolescents to improve their asthma self-management.
ACAP training sessions for schools and preschools have commenced for the 2010 school year. You can organise a 1 hour session comprising the national training package for education staff by clicking on the Training Request Form (PDF) link or using the contact details below.

YOUR VIEWS - Asthma and young people
Asthma Australia is interested in hearing young people’s ideas on how we can deliver information, key messages and services to young people with asthma.
We are looking to conduct a series of focus groups with young people aged 12-25 years (both with and without asthma). If you are interested in attending a focus group please call Robyn or Kelly on 8238 9300.
If you are unable to attend a focus group but would like to contribute your ideas by completing a short survey, please click on the link below.
